The breakfast was a proper treat, with top-notch ingredients that made every bite sing. Plus, being smack dab between Windermere and Bowness made our evenings out a walk in the park. Oh, and can I just say, those cozy touches in the room? A real delight!
We were in the top floor room, and the private bathroom was a bit of a trek down a flight. Not ideal for late-night dashes, though the in-room sink saved the day for brushing our teeth.

Cozy, Cozy, Cozy
I was absolutely taken by the homely charm and comfort of my stay. The room was a delightful haven, with a snug bed topped with the softest sheets and even a little Kendal mint cake waiting on my pillow. Every morning, I savored a delicious breakfast with plenty of choices, which was served in a lovely communal area that felt like one big family gathering!

had an amazin stay at montfort cottage for 3 nights! the hosts, jane and paul, were super friendly and really made us feel welcome. our room was spacious, clean and had some cute little touches like a teddy bear n snacks, which was sweet. breakfast was delish too, so many choices and adapted perfectly for us picky eaters. the location is great, just a short walk to both windermere n bowness, really nice area to explore.
only thing was we wish there were more options for snacks in the evenings and our shower could've been a bit more powerful.
